Raising Hope with Waldo



Jason Haney knows how particularly bleak an extended stay in a hospital can be for a child. At three years old his own daughter endured an extended hospital stay after suffering a pediatric stroke. Now the construction worker is doing his part to lighten the load for a whole hospital’s worth of kids as they stare excitedly out their hospital room windows. 

Haney and his hard-hatted colleagues are building out the massive $50 million extension to Memorial Children’s Hospital, but he’s not too busy to see to it every day that the recovering kids in the hospital next door have something to occupy and delight them.
