"Hipster Highway" is the name of a renowned stretch of urban bicycling paradise on the NW side of Chicago, a pedal-friendly enclave within the city whose clearly marked, and sometimes elevated, bike routes connect to both downtown and a popular park hub called the 606.  But the success of the urban biking experiment has ushered in a period of growth whose side effect – construction – is momentarily making the celebrated bike zone a bit hazardous.  Read more...
